This policy explains what personal data the Balaton BJJ Summer Camp website collects, why, who handles it and what you can ask us to do with it. It applies to this website and to the registration form at /reservation/register/.
Who is responsible for your data
The Balaton BJJ Summer Camp is organised by ZR Team Hungary, which is the controller of the personal data described here. For anything related to your data, write to subscription@balatonbjjcamp.com or call +36 30 354 1283.
What we collect
When you register through the form, we collect:
- About you: first and last name, date of birth, gender, nationality and country of residence.
- How to reach you: phone number and e-mail address.
- Your Jiu-Jitsu: your professor and how to contact them, your team or academy, and your current belt.
- Your booking: the package you chose (Silver or Gold), the payment method you prefer, and the date and time you agreed to this policy.
If you write to us by e-mail or WhatsApp instead, we receive whatever you put in that message.
The form does not ask for, and we do not want, card or bank details. Payment happens outside this website, through PayPal, bank transfer or Revolut, and those providers handle your payment data under their own privacy policies.
Why we use it
- To register you for the camp, send you the payment details for your package, confirm your place and organise the camp around the people attending — sessions, groups and, for the Gold package, accommodation.
- To contact you about your registration, payment, cancellation or changes to the camp.
- Your date of birth also tells us whether you are under 18, in which case we need to speak to you before confirming the registration.
The legal basis is the performance of the booking you ask us to make (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), and, for the confirmation box on the form, your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). We do not use your data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not make automated decisions about you.
Who else handles it
We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf:
- HubSpot — the system where registrations are stored and managed. HubSpot stores this data in the United States.
- Amazon Web Services — hosts this website in the United States. Like any web server, it receives your IP address and technical details of your browser when you visit.
- DatoCMS — serves the photos in the gallery, so your browser connects to its servers when those images load.
- YouTube (Google) — plays the video on the home page. It is embedded in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, but loading it still connects your browser to Google, and YouTube may store information on your device when the video plays. This is governed by Google's privacy policy.
Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, the transfer relies on the safeguards those providers offer under the GDPR, such as the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Cookies and tracking
This website sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics, advertising pixels or tracking tools. The only third-party content that can store information on your device is the YouTube video described above.
How long we keep it
We keep registration data for as long as we need it to organise the edition you registered for and to handle payments, refunds and any follow-up. After that we keep only what the law requires us to keep, such as accounting records, and delete the rest. You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the data we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong or out of date;
- delete your data;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- send it to you or to someone else in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent — this does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
Write to subscription@balatonbjjcamp.com and we will reply within one month. If you think we have not handled your data properly, you can also complain to the Hungarian data protection authority, the Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság (NAIH) — naih.hu — or to the authority in the EU country where you live.
Changes to this policy
If what we collect or who handles it changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
